Leonardo da Vinci

Before I leave Parker Dam and my spot at the Steps I wanted to make sure to go see the display of Leonardo da Vinci's work that is over at the casino in Parker.

I was not to excited to spend $15 at first, but when I was told I could take photos......I was excited.

I'm glad I went, it was so impressive seeing his art work and inventions up close and personal.

I remember how bored I was back in elementary school looking at art in a book......yuk!!!!

Having a chance to see these famous and not so famous paintings up close and big as H**l was a real eye opener for me.

I hope you enjoy my posts of the photos I took.....there are a lot of them this time.

I will try to add the information....hope I can keep them in order.

Now this was so cool.....each set of gears moves at a different speed......I had fun watching it work.

As I look at these then new inventions I could see where the industrial revolution got its start.......cogs, levers and cams.....now we can use a horse to pound out a new tool!!!!

Just think....without the chain....no motorcycles

Is it ok for me to have nudity on my blog????

Mirrors add 10 pounds each......there are about 8 mirrors here....thats why I look so fat!!!!

NOW FOR ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!!!

For years I have read about and seen photos of the first automobile.......Here is a duplicate of that automobile.......its like a clock, catapult, cart , bow and arrow all wrapped up into one crazy ride.

I still have many more photos......I loved going to see all that da Vinci gave the world, our lives would be so different had he not started the ball rolling. Think of all the generations who hardly advanced beyond  fire to the wheel...yet he had the mind that even thought up air planes, automobiles and so much more.....

  1. Wow! This is all so impressive! I sure wish I have seen the exhibit before leaving the desert! I'm now at Lake Isabella, CA. I teach a class on Leonardo da Vinci in the summer time. This is great stuff! I'll show my students your page! It's neat to see his inventions. I'm amazed that they have this exhibit out west!
